To help you design parts suitable for our 3D printing and rapid prototyping processes, we’ve outlined key tolerances and design tips below. Following these guidelines helps ensure your printed prototypes come out as intended. Unless otherwise agreed, our 3D printing follows these general tolerance standards. These tolerances apply to parts before any post-processing or finishing work.
Description Tolerance Notes
Part Size Up to 500mm × 500mm × 500mm without splitting or bonding
Minimum Feature Size Typical range: 0.5mm – 1.5mm (depending on material and technology)
Minimum Wall Thickness Typical range: 0.5mm – 1.0mm (depending on material and part geometry)
Clearance Between Features Recommended minimum: 0.5mm for moving parts or assemblies
