The needle valve hot runner system is a high-precision active gate control structure for injection molds. Different from traditional open hot runners that rely on plastic cooling to close the gate, it adopts mechanical valve needle opening and closing structure driven by pneumatic or hydraulic pressure. It can actively and accurately control the opening and closing time of each nozzle gate, realizing timed glue feeding and glue cutting. The whole working cycle is divided into three precise steps, fully synchronized with the injection molding machine signal:
The valve needle tightly presses the gate to completely seal the runner, effectively preventing melt drooling, wire drawing and material leakage.
Synchronized with the injection signal, the driving device pushes the valve needle back to open the gate, and the molten plastic fills the cavity stably and evenly.
After filling and pressure holding are completed, the valve needle instantly advances to cut off the glue flow and seal the gate tightly. No residual glue protrusion is left on the product surface.
No gate protrusion, no wire drawing, no drooling. The gate position is flat and smooth without secondary trimming, greatly improving product appearance qualification rate, especially suitable for visible appearance parts.
Multi-cavity and multi-point sequential glue feeding can be realized. The opening and closing sequence of each gate can be independently adjusted to effectively eliminate welding lines, shrinkage and warpage of large plastic parts.
The gate does not need to rely on plastic cooling sealing. It supports low-temperature injection and fast molding, greatly shortening the injection cycle and improving production efficiency.
No cold runner waste, no nozzle material loss, saving raw materials and labor cost for cutting nozzle materials.
Balanced feeding pressure avoids strong impact on the cavity. No residual melt accumulation and leakage reduce mold wear and mold maintenance frequency.
Open hot runners rely on plastic cooling to close the gate, which is prone to wire drawing, drooling and uneven filling, and leave obvious gate marks. Needle valve hot runners adopt mechanical active cutting, with flat gate, controllable filling and stable quality, which is irreplaceable for high-standard appearance parts and large structural parts.
